Job summary

NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is hiring a Construction Project Manager, Level 1, to lead energy efficiency and clean energy projects in City-owned buildings. The role collaborates with DCAS DEM and agency teams to develop and manage project scopes, funding proposals, and energy savings calculations.

Responsibilities include coordinating implementation, monitoring milestones, and maintaining project documentation and reporting for city stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of full-time experience managing and/or inspecting construction projects with total cost ≥ $300,000 per year.
• One year of the experience described above and a baccalaureate degree in engineering or related field.
• One year of the experience described above and a valid professional license (PE/RA/Architect).
• A four-year high school diploma and a combination of at least two years of experience plus education to total five years.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of energy efficiency projects and prepare funding proposals with energy savings estimates.
• Lead day-to-day project implementation, liaise with partners, and perform site visits for progress and close-out.
• Manage energy project tracking, reporting, and ensure schedules, budgets, and scopes compliance.
