Job summary

Senior Engineer - Electrical Design role requires a BSEE with PE registration and 15+ years of design/CA experience for facilities. You will work with architectural, mechanical, and structural teams to deliver complex electrical systems, guide junior staff, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office is preferred, along with knowledge of LEED/Green Globes. Strong communication, planning and leadership are essential for success in this role on

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited BSEE degree required.
  • PE registration in at least one state; ability to reciprocity.
  • 15+ years in design and construction administration for facilities.
  • Knowledge of building electrical codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Revit desirable.
  • LEED or Green Globes experience desirable.
  • Strong English communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to plan resources, schedules, and budget.

Sr. Electrical Design Engineer, you will work closely with architectural, mechanical and structural department colleagues on a variety of projects.

Requirements
EDUCATION/ PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program

  • Professional Engineer Registration in at least one State
  • Ability to seek PE comity/ reciprocity with other State Registration Boards
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience mentoring junior team members
  • Minimum 15 years of experience designing and providing construction administration for facilities as a design consultant (more experience is desirable)
  • Knowledge of Military, Justice, Commercial, or water treatment desirable
  • Basic knowledge of building, electrical, fire codes and standards to determine engineering calculations, equipment sizing and selection for different voltage systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Revit desirable
  • VisualPro and/or AGI32 experience desirable
  • Past facilitation of LEED Certification or Green Globes desirable
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to plan project resources, maintain schedules and stay within budget
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
