Job summary

NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services seeks a Senior Engineer for the Building Optimization Team to lead energy-efficient projects, assess designs, and coordinate with city agencies. The role focuses on advanced analytics to optimize HVAC and building operations.

In the first years, you will manage projects end-to-end and contribute to a robust program for citywide energy savings, emissions reductions, and maintenance improvements across DEM facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field or equivalent experience.
• Apprentice program + 2 years energy efficiency or 4 years energy experience.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to the listed paths.

Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio of technical projects with budgeting, scoping, and oversight.
• Provide technical oversight on designs, costs, inspections, and calculations.
• Monitor and report energy savings, GHG reductions, and costs.
• Engage City agencies to drive project success and set expectations.
• Support expansion of a city-wide building optimization program.
