Job summary

NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) seeks a Senior Engineer for the Building Optimization Team (BOT) within the Division of Energy Management. The role focuses on managing building optimization projects, developing analytics, and supporting energy efficiency initiatives across City facilities in New York.

The incumbent will lead technical oversight, performance tracking, and agency coordination to advance the City's climate goals, including LL97 compliance through advanced

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications described: degree or apprenticeship with energy efficiency focus; multiple pathways to experience in energy generation or conservation.
• Experience with energy efficiency in buildings and program management.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of a portfolio of technically complex projects at City facilities.
• Provide technical oversight on designs, scopes, costs, inspections, and energy savings calculations.
• Monitor performance metrics and energy, GHG, and cost savings.
• Engage agencies to drive project management and set expectations.
• Support expansion of the Building Optimization Program through analytics and preventive maintenance.
