The Senior Engineer will lead technical calls, manage samples, and support customer opportunities with coatings knowledge across production lines, collaborating with field teams and vendors to expand capabilities. Expect 15-20% travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience supporting customers in the electronics industry is strongly preferred.
• Experience with the application of coatings and manufacturing processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical support for customers by coordinating with global sales and field teams.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key technical contacts and decision makers at customers.
• Own and drive on-time completion of customer activities, including leading technical calls and managing samples.
• Provide experimental support for customer opportunities owned by you.
• Understand and implement coating application approaches on customer samples in production lines.
• Communicate technical advances internally and with customers, and engage them on product details.
• Establish relationships with vendors and contract manufacturers to expand capabilities and meet customer needs.
• Travel frequently to visit customers on site in the Bay Area; 15-20% travel expected domestically/internationally.

Senior Engineer - Bay Area

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Senior Engineer to join our talented and diverse technical team. This customer-facing role will bring critical technical know-how to build customer trust, advance sales, and provide technical expertise directly to customers and in collaboration with our global team. This hybrid-role is based in the San Francisco Bay area and the Senior Engineer would support business throughout the West Coast.

As a Senior Engineer, you will:

• Lead technical support for our customers by working closely with our global sales and field-deployed global technical service teams.
• Be a trusted technical expert to our customers and establish and maintain positive relationships with key technical contacts and decision makers at our customers
• Own and drive the on-time completion of customer activities, including leading technical calls with customers, managing customer samples, and experimental support for the customer opportunities they own
• Understand and implement coating application approaches on a variety of customer samples in customers' production lines with our field-deployed technical team
• Communicate technical advances internally with other members of the company and be able to engage customers on the details of our products
• Establish relationships with vendors and contract manufacturers to expand actnano's capabilities and address customer needs
• Frequent travel to visit customers on site in the Bay area is expected, with additional international and domestic business travel (15-20%) expected.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $130,000 to $160,000 per year, with the final offer determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and work location, where applicable.
