Job summary
The Clark County Building Department seeks a Senior Engineer/Architect to support structural, geotechnical and quality assurance across Las Vegas and Clark County. You will provide expert engineering review, technical leadership, and consultation on complex residential, commercial, industrial, resort, and other high-profile projects.
Required: a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture and four years of professional plan checking, design or project management experience; valid Nevada PE
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture required.
- Minimum four years of professional plan checking, design, or project management experience.
- Registration as a professional engineer or architect in Nevada required or obtained within one year.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert engineering review across structural and geotechnical disciplines.
- Lead plan checks and QA for complex projects.
- Consult with developers, engineers, and architects to explain codes and procedures.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to area of assignment.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports and correspondence.
