Job summary

8x8 is seeking a Senior Engineer in Campbell, CA to own the full delivery stack from API design to modern frontend UX. You will design and implement MFEs, React/Angular UIs, and back-end integrations, including Salesforce-based workstreams, with a focus on scalable, reliable systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with strong fundamentals (OOP, data modeling, APIs, debugging, system design).
• Production frontend experience in React or Angular with real apps that shipped and scaled.
• Experience with Micro Frontend architectures (module federation or equivalent).
• Ability to build/read/debug backend services in Java, Python, Node, or equivalent.
• Experience integrating systems via REST/SOAP APIs; Salesforce exposure (Apex, LWC).
• Measurably faster and more capable because of AI (Claude and Cursor) in daily work.
• Proficient with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery (Jira).

Responsibilities

• Engineering for scale across customer and partner systems.
• Design and deliver quote-to-cash flows, self-service portals, and order management UIs.
• Own delivery end-to-end: API design, business logic, integration layer, and UI.
• Build production-grade UIs in React or Angular and develop MFEs.
• Create and maintain shared component libraries and design systems.
• Develop Salesforce frontend/UI components (LWC) when appropriate.
• Build and extend backend services in Java/Python/Node; design REST/SOAP APIs.
• Debug integration failures across frontend, middleware, Salesforce, and data logs.
• Leverage AI tools (Claude, Cursor) for architecture, code reviews, and docs.
• Collaborate with BAs, architects, and stakeholders; mentor peers.
• Ensure unit/integration/regression testing; support CI/CD deployments.
• Resolve post-deployment issues and improve delivery quality.
