Job summary

8x8, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer (remote, Pacific Time) to own the full delivery stack—from API design and business logic to frontend experiences—empowering CX with AI-driven speed and reliability.

You will build scalable systems across React/Angular frontends and Java/Python backends, integrate with Salesforce, and apply AI tools to shorten cycles and improve outcomes. Collaborate with BAs, architects, and stakeholders to ship high-quality features end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with strong fundamentals (OOP, data modeling, APIs, debugging, system design).
• Production frontend experience in React or Angular with real apps.
• Experience with Micro Frontend architectures and module federation.
• Backend development in Java, Python, or Node, with API integrations.
• Salesforce exposure enabling ownership of Apex, LWC, and platform config.
• Proficient with Git, CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery in Jira.
• Daily use of AI tools to accelerate work.

Responsibilities

• Engineer for scale across customer and partner systems.
• Deliver world-class experiences: quote-to-cash flows, self-service portals, order management UIs.
• Own delivery end-to-end: API design, business logic, integration, and UI.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor peers and conduct code reviews; document your work.
• Ensure unit, integration, and regression testing across surfaces.
