Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking a Senior Engineer 1 for Advanced Energy Storage and Generation Systems in Pomona, CA. You will lead engineers and cross-functional teams, develop detailed engineering standards, and deliver advanced energy storage demonstrations and pilots.

This hybrid role focuses on scaling energy storage and clean generation, collaborating across operations, design, and field teams, and guiding senior staff through complex projects. Relocation may be offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a scientific/technical/math field.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in operations, production, construction or maintenance.
• Valid Class C driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversees engineers performing diagnostics, monitoring and inspecting equipment, and reviewing grid technologies.
• Leads the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate project status and findings.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure development, integration and implementation of future technologies.
• Assists in engineering and business initiatives including development of procedures and design recommendations.
• Supports installation and startup of new equipment and leads handover to ramp and sustaining phases.
• Leads junior engineers in investigating threats on the distribution system based on observations and data.
• Gathers data using engineering studies and facilitates training to enhance team skills.

Education
