Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC is seeking an experienced engineer to plan, design, and execute energy storage projects. You will provide engineering oversight, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage major components from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in solar/PV engineering or storage projects, with strong project management skills and knowledge of safety standards. Relocation is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Experience: 7+ years in engineering, preferably in energy storage or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects.
• Identify and resolve inconsistencies in engineering drawings and improve design quality and efficiency.
• Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts and collaborate with project managers.
• Stay updated on project progress, risks, and interfacing with suppliers.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate systems and controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Travel 25% of the time for project-specific duties.
