Job summary

LVI Associates seeks an engineer with experience supporting mechanical design in industrial facilities, including equipment layouts, process piping, and rotating equipment. The role involves working directly with clients, vendors, and manufacturers to identify the best solutions for project requirements.

You'll apply pump sizing, pipe stress, and industrial mechanical design to standards, and collaborate with clients, project managers, designers, and contractors to develop construction-ready

Qualifications

• Experience supporting mechanical design in industrial facilities, including equipment layouts, process piping, rotating equipment, and material handling.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment selection and specification, working directly with clients, vendors, and manufacturers to identify solutions for project requirements.
• Knowledge of process piping design, pump sizing, pipe stress, and industrial mechanical systems designed to applicable standards.
• Ability to collaborate with clients, project managers, designers, and contractors to resolve technical issues and produce construction-ready deliverables.
• Comfortable working across diverse industrial projects and environments, adapting to varying processes and objectives.
• Experience supporting engineering, construction, commissioning, and field execution activities in industrial settings.
• Understanding of industrial safety requirements and best practices in active plant settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating mechanical design outputs and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop practical engineering solutions and construction-ready deliverables.
• Support vendors and contractors to address technical issues and verify compliance with standards.

Job description

Experience supporting mechanical design efforts in industrial facilities, including equipment layouts, process piping systems, rotating equipment, and material handling applications.

Familiarity with industrial equipment selection and specification, working directly with clients, vendors, and manufacturers to identify the most appropriate solutions for project requirements.

Knowledge of process piping design, pump sizing and selection, pipe stress considerations, and industrial mechanical systems designed in accordance with applicable industry standards.

Ability to collaborate with clients, project managers, designers, and contractors to resolve technical issues, develop practical engineering solutions, and produce construction-ready deliverables.

Comfortable working across a diverse range of industrial projects and industries, adapting quickly to varying processes, equipment, and project objectives.

Experience supporting engineering, construction, commissioning, and field execution activities within industrial, manufacturing, processing, or heavy industrial environments.

Understanding of industrial safety requirements and best practices, with the ability to work effectively in active plant and construction settings.
