DataStage+Cloudpak Developer

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Expertise in IBM DataStage version 11.5 or above, DB2, Unix and SQL.
• Proficiency in SQL or another relevant language.
• Should be able to work independently on ETL development project including, design and implementation.
• Collaborate with team members to implement best practices for job development, testing, and deployment. Identify improvements and automation opportunities for our internal processes and procedures.
• Author and maintain internal documentations.
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner.
• Experience with DataStage cloud implementation using IBM Cloud Pak is nice to have.
• Work with the architects, developers, offshore, business and technology stakeholders in a complex environment across different geographic locations.
• Ability to champion pragmatic, strategic technology alternatives which deliver short term results while contributing to long-term strategic direction.
• Experience in Waterfall and/or Agile Methodologies.

• Participate/host calls independently with onshore technology teams.
• Should be able to understand requirement specs and develop the code.
• Participate in requirement gathering meetings and proactively clarify doubts.
• Suggest technical solutions.
• Create design document.
• Develop ETL batch flows using DataStage.
• Involve in unit testing, Component Integration testing, System Integration testing and implementation.
• Proactively track tasks to closure.
• Own the task assigned and keep all the stakeholders informed about the status.
• Support the code install releases and support post deployment control phase.
