Job summary

Grapevine is seeking a Sr. Engineer to join our Technology Team to develop and build new product features in collaboration with Operations and Product teams.

You will coordinate designing, developing, testing, and installing product updates, leveraging your experience with large-scale web apps and mobile-first web development. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in web apps, 1–2 years in mobile-first development, and are proficient with SASS, OOCSS, jQuery, MVC frameworks, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions by working with product designers and product team; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
• Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
• Lead testing phases as necessary

Requirements:

• Expert using SASS and OOCSS
• Experience working with jQuery
• Exposure to at least one MVC framework
• Understanding of version control (we use git)
• Preferred: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
