Job summary

GE Aerospace's Defense Engines & Services is seeking a Senior Engine Test Lead to provide technical leadership for test programs of GE426 and GK1500 propulsion systems. You will coordinate end-to-end testing across multiple sites, ensuring readiness, instrumentation, and data quality to support design decisions.

You will own test safety, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, delivering high-quality data and actionable recommendations to engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years in Engine Testing; U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• U.S. Government Security Clearance required; active clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end test strategy and execution for GE426 and GK1500 engine programs.
• Coordinate multi-site test operations across GE Aerospace Evendale, KTT, Edwards AFB, Purdue University, and government test facilities.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with Kratos Turbine Technologies (KTT) for test activities and data sharing.
• Define requirements for facilities, data acquisition systems, measurement capability, adapters, mounts, and tooling.
• Lead test data analysis, reporting, and root cause investigations to inform design decisions.
• Own test safety, risk management, and compliance across all test sites.
• Drive cross-functional execution with systems, design, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams; travel ~25%.
