Job summary

Standish Management is seeking an Engagement Manager to lead and oversee all client engagements in the private equity fund space. You will supervise Fund Controller and Associate, and coordinate with the Engagement Director on fund accounting, capital account maintenance and financial statement preparation.

The role emphasizes managing client expectations, maintaining frequent client contact, and driving engagement efficiency while mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics required.
• 2+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent.
• 2+ years of VC/PE fund experience or fund administrator – OR – minimum 1 year as manager at a public accounting firm.
• Prior Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• MS Office applications (Excel, Word & Outlook) proficiency.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain frequent client contact to keep abreast of ongoing fund activities.
• Manage client expectations and engagement efficiency.
• Supervise the audit and tax preparation process; review communications to clients and investors.
• Assist with sourcing new clients, issuing proposals and business development.
• Mentor and train junior staff members.
