Job summary

Standish Management, LLC seeks an Engagement Manager to lead client engagements, supervise fund accounting, capital account maintenance and financial statement preparation. You will work with the Engagement Director to ensure high-quality service for private equity funds.

Regular client contact, staff utilization, and engagement efficiency are essential, along with mentoring junior staff and supporting business development efforts. This role is based in Seattle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics.
• 2+ years public accounting or 2+ years VC/PE fund experience, or 1 year as manager.
• Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting.
• CPA preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain frequent client contact to keep abreast of ongoing fund activities.
• Manage client expectations.
• Manage engagement keeping in mind client needs, staff utilization and overall engagement efficiency.
• Supervise the audit and tax preparation process.
• Review all communications to the client and its investors on an ongoing basis.
• Assist with sourcing new clients, issuing proposals and overall business development.
• Mentor and train junior staff members.
