Job Overview

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to join our Amazon Q Customer Success Team. You will be responsible for delivering complex Gen AI projects and programs, combining technical expertise with strategic direction to ensure successful AWS-based solutions for our clients. Your role involves bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating technical discussions, and aligning outcomes with customer needs. You will apply AWS frameworks such as Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework, demonstrate technical credibility, and translate customer needs into clear technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex Gen AI proof-of-concepts, implementations, and enterprise adoption projects.
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices for strategic planning.
  • Facilitate engineering discussions to align technical solutions with business outcomes.
  • Translate customer needs into technical requirements and actionable solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards.
  • Build and sustain stakeholder relationships aligned with strategic goals.
  • Assess and mitigate technical risks, resolve bottlenecks, and manage escalations.
  • Monitor and report on program progress to leadership, ensuring timely delivery.
Qualifications
Basic:
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing and project management of technical programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Gen AI, AI/ML, or enterprise SaaS implementations.
  • At least 5 years of direct collaboration with engineering teams.
Preferred:
  • Experience with AWS services and frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or PMP.
  • Strong understanding of AWS best practices and architectures.
  • Experience in organizational change management and AI/ML workload deployment.
