Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania Library is seeking an Assistant Director of Engagement and Events to lead high-touch donor engagement programs, on-campus and regional events, and development-adjacent initiatives. You will coordinate across internal partners, manage the donor-facing engagement calendar, and work with senior leaders to advance fundraising goals.

This role requires strong project management, excellent communication, and willingness to travel regionally and work occasional evenings,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 2–3 years in events or donor relations.
• Experience planning high-level events and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute two annual on-campus Board of Advisors meetings.
• Plan regional cultivation events in major cities and manage logistics.
• Coordinate on-campus donor programs with Alumni Relations and Libraries teams.
• Support development-adjacent initiatives and campus visits for donors and prospects.
• Prepare materials, coordinate schedules, and ensure follow-through after visits.
