BCG Attorney Search partners with a leading law firm in New York to hire an experienced attorney for its Energy, Environmental, and Utility Law Group, focusing on siting and permitting of electric transmission lines, gas pipelines, and related infrastructure.

The role offers opportunities to advise on complex infrastructure projects, regulatory compliance, and engagement with agencies, with a collaborative team of engineers and attorneys.

Qualificações

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in New York State; New Jersey admission a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in electric transmission and generation siting.
• Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.
• Experience with regulatory agencies and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide counsel on siting, permitting, and development of electric transmission and distribution infrastructure and gas pipelines.
• Represent clients before the New York State Public Service Commission and other regulatory bodies.
• Draft and review applications, permits, and compliance filings under relevant statutes.
• Conduct environmental and land use reviews under SEQRA and municipal zoning laws.
• Advise on stakeholder engagement, community outreach and risk management.
• Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and project managers on regulatory and permit application development.
• Provide litigation support in administrative hearings or disputes.
• Monitor evolving energy policies and advise clients on implications.
