Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Buffalo, NY, seeks an experienced energy regulatory attorney to join the Energy Practice. The role involves representing clients in regulatory proceedings, handling approvals, and engaging with ISO/RTO tariffs.

Required NYS bar admission (or waiver) with 4–8 years of relevant experience, plus expertise before New York energy agencies; FERC exposure a plus. Competitive benefits and a dynamic team await.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice in New York State or eligible for waiver.
• Four to eight years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in proceedings before New York State energy agencies.
• Familiarity with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission proceedings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in administrative, siting, and permitting proceedings.
• Handle regulatory approval processes under relevant Public Service Laws.
• Engage with ISO/RTO tariffs and interconnection processes.
• Participate in NYSERDA programs and ESCO regulatory matters.
• Assist in utility rate cases and energy asset transactions.
