Job summary

AES Clean Energy Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Analyst, Structured Trading to analyze ERCOT markets, design dispatch and merit-order models, and develop trading strategies. You will collaborate with trading, risk, and regulatory teams to optimize PnL and manage energy exposure across US ISOs.

The role requires a quantitative background with 5+ years in energy markets, strong modeling skills, and experience with risk assessment and commercial analysis for renewable assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance or related quantitative field.
• 5 years of experience with commercial analysis for the energy industry.
• Experience with power markets and renewable asset revenue streams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze ERCOT real-time and cash markets for weather and price risk.
• Design models to simulate generator dispatch and merit order in ERCOT.
• Develop and execute trading strategies to meet PnL targets.
• Support asset exposure management across US ISOs and CRR auctions.
• Develop VaR models and forward curves for valuation of energy positions.
