U.S. Bank is seeking a senior Energy Structured Origination professional to lead the development and execution of complex risk management and financing solutions for upstream oil & gas and power clients in North America.

The role requires deep industry relationships with E&P companies, power generators, utilities, and energy marketers, delivering tailored hedging and structured solutions across commodities, power, and risk management products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, or another related field.
• 7-10+ years of structured commodity transaction experience.
• Demonstrated track record of revenue generation and client facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute structured commodity transactions for upstream producers, power generators, and energy companies.
• Develop structured hedging and derivative solutions including multi-year hedging programs and cross-commodity strategies.
• Structure transactions tied to production profiles, reserve bases, and generation portfolios.
• Partner with banking and capital markets teams to structure hedging programs linked to facilities and project financing.
• Originate solutions addressing cash flow stabilization and balance sheet risk management.
• Develop risk management programs aligned with clients' financing strategies.
• Originate transactions tied to oil, gas and power portfolios and develop long-dated hedging solutions.
• Maintain senior-level relationships with CFOs and risk managers within energy companies.
