Job summary

Invenergy LLC, headquartered in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Energy Storage Supply Chain & Technology procurement program. The role focuses on building and scaling teams, evaluating BESS equipment, and driving supplier partnerships across the project portfolio with up to 25% travel.

The position supports hybrid work (in-office Mon-Thu, remote on Fridays) and reports to the Senior Vice President of Energy Storage Engineering and Procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, business, or related field.
• 8+ years in engineering, project management, procurement or strategic sourcing.
• Experience building and leading technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing team to scale Invenergy’s Battery Energy Storage procurement program.
• Develop and monitor procurement strategies, supplier relationships, and product evaluations for BESS equipment.
• Perform early technical due diligence on BESS offerings and coordinate with internal teams on product roadmaps.
• Lead supplier qualification reviews and track performance, pricing, and supply chain developments.
• Engage in market intelligence to inform procurement strategies and contract negotiations.
• Support contract negotiations on technical scope, schedules, warranties, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with tax, legal, and regulatory teams on trade and import compliance.
