Anza Renewables is seeking a Senior Project Engineer, Energy Storage to lead technical design and execution across diverse storage projects. You will coordinate with customers, vendors, and EPCs to ensure privacy of interconnection, testing, and commissioning from interconnection through COD.

The role requires mastery of energy storage integration, strong knowledge of UL/NEC/NFPA/IEEE codes, and hands-on modeling with AutoCAD, ETAP, PSSE, PSCAD, PSLF, and Python.

Competenze

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in energy storage design and integration, utility-scale design and commissioning.
• 7+ years in power systems design, construction, commissioning, and field support.
• Strong knowledge of UL, NEC, NFPA, IEEE; familiarity with IBR standards (IEEE 2800, new NERC standards).
• Experience with fire departments, building departments, utilities, and ISO/RTOs.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Excel; ETAP/PSSE/PSCAD/PSLF; Python a plus.
• Experience with Modbus TCP/IP, DNP3, CAN; Wireshark.

Mansioni

• Serve as a key technical expert in energy storage integration into project designs, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Review engineering deliverables from multiple disciplines and respond to RFIs and submittals.
• Assess and mitigate project risks related to design, certification, testing, systems integration, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with vendors, customers, ISOs, utilities, EPCs, and consulting firms during interconnection, design, construction and commissioning.
• Lead and coordinate commissioning activities between stakeholders for utility-scale and DG-scale projects.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level project engineers.
• Guide technical decisions and troubleshoot complex design or field issues across the project life.
• Conduct detailed technical reviews of contractual documents to validate scope and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct product diligence and develop engineering tools integrated with Anza's platform.
• Support internal technical requests to ensure proper representation of energy storage products.
