Job summary

Avangrid is seeking a Senior Settlements Analyst in Boston to ensure timely and accurate settlement of power purchase and sales transactions. You will analyze contractual data, assess system capabilities, and develop tools and procedures for non-standard transactions.

Responsibilities include reconciling trading books, resolving discrepancies, and supporting monthly forecasts while collaborating across departments to implement settlement improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in the energy industry or equivalent experience.
• Self-starting and able to manage priorities to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
• Thorough knowledge and experience with one or more information systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed analysis in reconciliation and settlement of trading books for complex power transactions.
• Analyze and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate final positions and prices.
• Decompose contracts to account for and settle component parts.
• Assist with monthly power trading book forecasts for GL month-end closing.
