Job summary

Salt River Project in Tempe, AZ, seeks an experienced procurement professional to lead the acquisition and contracting of new generation resources and energy storage to meet SRP needs.

You will develop competitive procurement processes, evaluate proposals, negotiate multi‑million-dollar power and storage agreements, and manage contract administration while coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy for Arizona.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited institution.
• Level I — Associate: 4 years relevant experience or equivalent.
• Level II — Journey: Minimum 2 years; 6 years equivalent allowed.
• Level III — Senior: Minimum 5 years; 9 years equivalent allowed.

Responsibilities

• Develop, issue, and manage competitive procurement processes for new generation resources.
• Negotiate power purchase and energy storage agreements valued in the millions to hundreds of millions.
• Analyze resource options and risks with quantitative analyses.
• Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Oversee contract administration and enforce performance metrics.
• Monitor milestones and ensure SRP compliance with contracts.
