Job summary

DTE Energy is seeking a seasoned PMO Project Engineer/Manager to oversee technical aspects of project development from inception through construction start-up and close-out. Experience with gas turbines, interconnects, and carbon capture is valued, with most work performed remotely from Detroit, MI but travel required.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering or construction management and 8+ years of related experience, plus strong communication and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 8+ years of experience as project engineer/manager or construction manager.
• License as Professional Engineer (PE) or PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen projects to determine technical viability.
• Develop EPC specifications and drawings review.
• Prepare RFP packages and manage bidding processes.
• Develop cost estimates and expenditure forecasts.
• Oversee contractors and vendors to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Travel within the continental United States; ~10–30%, up to >75% during startup.
