Job summary

DTE Energy’s DTE Vantage seeks a senior project engineer/manager to oversee technical aspects from inception through early construction, with ongoing support through start-up and closeout. Remote-friendly, located near Detroit, MI, with majority work from home and occasional on-site collaboration.

The role requires a strong engineering background, 5+ years in project delivery, and the ability to navigate complex EPC processes, bids, and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 5+ years of experience as a project engineer, project manager or construction manager.
• Power industry experience is a plus, especially engines, turbines, and gas/electrical interconnects.
• Ability to work independently with strong judgment and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Screen projects from a technical perspective to determine viability.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, engineers, vendors, and government agencies to complete projects within schedule and budget.
• Develop cost estimates and expenditure forecasts.
• Travel within the domestic United States; expected to be about 10% to 30%, depending on project stage.
