Job summary

Alberici Constructors, a St. Louis-based construction firm, seeks a Senior Project Procurement Manager (Energy) to lead procurement for large power projects. You will craft strategies, select suppliers, and manage a project-focused team to meet schedule and budget.

Responsibilities include negotiating subcontracts, coordinating with Legal and Quality, and traveling across North America to support projects with annual budgets exceeding $50M. Leadership and integrity are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or supply chain management
• 10+ years procurement experience on power/industrial projects with budgets > $50M
• Experience with ERP-based procurement workflows
• 5+ years building and managing teams of 10+
• 8+ years negotiation experience
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and customer service
• Willing to travel periodically
• Legal training or commercial management experience 5+ years preferred

Responsibilities

• Define the project-related procurement and supply chain workflows, assuring the project procurement team understands and implements these workflows accordingly.
• Assure subcontracts and purchase orders incorporate the applicable flow-downs from the prime contract.
• As required by the project, negotiate or assist the negotiation of purchase orders and subcontracts, serving as the liaison between legal and the project procurement team.
• Build and manage a high-performance project-based procurement team, including buyers, expeditors, inspectors, logistics and material management experts, etc.
• Resolve disputes in contractual issues.
• Establish and maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships.
• Interface with legal, risk, compliance, and internal procurement / subcontracting departments.
• Travels to Company and subsidiary offices; offsite client, subcontractor, and supplier meetings; and other locations across North America to fulfill the essential duties of the role as required.
• Exhibits regular and reliable attendance in person as required by the Supervisor, Company guidelines, and/or project and office obligations.
