Job summary

Orenda, Inc. is seeking a Senior Energy Market Research Analyst to research energy markets for new investment opportunities and deliver analysis that meets investment standards. The role demands strong analytical skills and experience in market research.

This position is based in New York with a full-time, in-office requirement. You will monitor evolving markets and work closely with the CSO, shaping strategic investment decisions.

The compensation package includes a salary range of $120,000–$180,000 and additional performance-based bonuses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in market research, strategy, investment analysis, or a directly related discipline within the energy sector.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in at least one analytical environment for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
• Working knowledge of forecasting methods such as time series analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, and scenario analysis.
• Strong written communication, with the ability to turn unstructured research into structured documents.

Responsibilities

• Research new energy markets for potential investment opportunities.
• Maintain an up-to-date opportunity database for the Strategy team.
• Monitor and forecast market fundamentals and their evolution.
• Deliver feasibility reviews against the company’s investment standards.
• Build and improve processes for systematic investigation and forecasting.
