Senior AEMS Engineer – Energy Management Systems

We are currently partnering with a leading organisation in the energy and utilities sector seeking an experienced Senior AEMS Engineer with strong expertise in GE e-terra AEMS – Reliance (formerly XA/21).

This hands‑on technical role requires deep experience in mission‑critical Energy Management Systems, making it ideal for a Senior AEMS Engineer ready to take ownership of system delivery, troubleshooting, and customer engagement across electric utilities, ISOs, and TSOs.

• 5+ years of experience customizing and delivering Energy Management Systems (preferably e‑terra AEMS – Reliance)
• 5+ years of development experience with C++, C, and/or Java
• Strong experience with AEMS Reliance source design and development
• Solid background within the electric utility industry
• 5+ years working with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
• Strong Oracle Database and SQL expertise
• Shell scripting and ability to read and debug logs
• Experience installing OS patches and 3rd party software (Oracle, NetApp, etc.)
• Hands‑on experience with GitHub and ClearCase
• Experience working on real‑time or mission‑critical systems
• Proven experience installing fixes on live production systems
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Lead advanced Power Systems Application software development and delivery as a Senior AEMS Engineer
• Work directly with Electric Utilities, ISOs, and TSOs on functional specifications
• Design, code, test, integrate, tune, and deploy AEMS solutions
• Troubleshoot complex system, network, data, and interoperability issues
• Lead customer calls and manage solution implementation within compliance frameworks
• Mentor team members in troubleshooting and technical analysis
• Strong experience in Reliance (formerly XA/21)
• Comfortable working in live, high‑availability production environments
• Customer‑focused technical leader
• Ability to solve complex problems under pressure
