Job summary

City of Chandler seeks an Energy Management Controls Senior Technician to maintain, program and diagnose automated building HVAC and refrigeration systems, ensuring air quality and comfort for City facilities.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 5 years in automated controls, EPA/AS refrigerant certification, HazWOPR within 1 year, and a valid driver’s license. Regular full-time with a 6-month probationary period and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5 years of automated controls experience in building automation systems.
• At least 2 years of experience in Network Integration Software programming.
• EPA & Arizona State Refrigerant Certification required on hire or promotion.
• Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Certification within 1 year of hire or promotion.
• Valid Driver's License or equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, program, and diagnose automated building HVAC&R systems to ensure air quality, building comfort and efficiency.
• Collaborate with contractors and building occupants to coordinate projects and improvements.
