Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking a Senior Attorney Litigation Attorney to lead a broad portfolio of litigation matters in state and federal courts, including tort, regulatory, and corporate matters. You will oversee outside counsel and advise senior management on strategy and risk.

The role is hybrid, requires a JD and 8+ years of experience, and CA bar admission. You will collaborate with business units to advance the company's energy objectives while upholding legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Eight or more years of legal experience in law firm, in-house, or government.
• Current California Bar admission or ability to become accredited.

Responsibilities

• Conducts complex legal analysis to craft strategies and interpretations which anticipate outcomes and ensure compliance.
• Leads development and implementation of legal strategies and positions on regulatory changes.
• Represents the company in state and federal court in tort litigation and manages outside counsel.
• Provides legal advice to senior management and collaborates with cross-functional teams on business decisions.
• Oversees regulatory filings, testimonies and reports with agencies like CPUC and FERC.
