Job summary

STO Building Group in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an experienced Energy Marshal to support our mission critical project. The role focuses on energy isolation, LOTO compliance, and safe energization through rigorous auditing and expert guidance.

You will act as SME, review commissioning plans, coordinate with engineers and field teams, and participate in safety meetings to uphold our Constructing with Integrity standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of energy isolation, safety, or related field experience.
• NFPA 70E Certification.
• Experience with DC construction and commissioning standards and practices.
• Ability to understand and ensure safe installation of electrical equipment across various voltages.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe energization and isolation activities.
• Manage commissioning process from pre-energization through turnover.
• Manage electrical room access permits and attendance.
• Verify the commissioning plan and review quality reports.
• Provide SME guidance on energy isolation practices.
• Attend safety meetings and support procedure development.
