Kinder Morgan, Inc. is seeking a senior financial professional to perform financial analyses for investment decisions and expansion opportunities within its natural gas pipeline segment.

The role includes budgeting, monitoring, and reporting on the financial progress of ongoing expansion projects. The candidate will serve as the subject matter expert in financial modeling, interacting with senior decision makers to present inputs and resolutions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business related field, preferably accounting or finance.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience with at least 1 year in a role that has afforded financial modeling experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Knowledge of the energy business and pipeline economics.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Understand, create, and maintain financial models for expansions and acquisitions, including thorough research of targets.
• Facilitate the due diligence process of potential transactions.
• Budget, monitor, and report on actual and forecasted spending related to expansion projects.
• Prepare presentation materials for senior management related to expansion projects and transactions.
• Develop understanding of Kinder Morgan's gas pipeline segment and appropriate transactions for each business unit.
• Learn core transaction documents (purchase agreements, disclosure schedules) and assist in deal structuring.
• Grow responsibilities within the group, including leading deals with limited supervision.
