Job summary

DB Engineering is seeking a Senior Energy-HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Greater Seattle area, with client-site work up to 3 days per week and flexible office/remote options. The role emphasizes optimization, sustainability, and digital transformation for large building projects.

You will leadHVAC system evaluations, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff while building strong client relationships and delivering proactive, data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of HVAC mechanical engineering design, commissioning, data analytics, peer review, optimization, or consulting experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality work on assigned projects with limited oversight.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and provide project updates.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to create actionable improvement plans for client environments.
• Evaluate and optimize large commercial HVAC systems including chillers, DX, and VAVs.
• Analyze building system performance data to improve efficiency and sustainability.
• Provide project planning, proposals, and progress reporting.
• Mentor junior team members and oversee project activities.
• Stay current with codes, trends, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
