Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead complex energy projects, including siting, routing, permitting, and regulatory engagement in the Texas/Louisiana region.

Based in Texas, you will collaborate with planners, scientists, engineers, biologists, and archeologists across WSP to deliver sustainable infrastructure and resilient communities while managing multi-disciplinary teams and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology, Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of environmental project management experience in energy (transmission, generation, renewables, pipelines).
• Expertise in siting and routing, permitting, impact assessments, and regulatory compliance in TX/LA/AR/OK/NM/MS.
• Experience preparing and managing Public Utility Commission/Public Service Commission applications, including expert testimony.
• Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, schedules, and contractors across the full lifecycle.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, including public meetings and community outreach.
• Track record of proposal development, client growth, and team leadership.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams on complex energy projects delivering on time, scope, and budget.
• Direct site selection and route evaluation for energy facilities.
• Manage environmental permitting, agency coordination, public meetings, and stakeholder engagement.
• Partner with agencies; provide guidance on state filing requirements; expert testimony a plus.
• Monitor policy trends, regulatory changes, and emerging tech in TX/LA energy market.
• Serve as trusted advisor to clients, agencies, landowners, and internal partners.
• Lead proposal development, scope definition, budgets, schedules, client relationships.
• Champion innovation, efficiency, and best practices in delivery.
