Job summary

Kimmel and Associates seeks a Senior Energy Engineer to lead energy conservation projects for large facilities. You will design, implement, and optimize solutions, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with engineering, estimating, sales, and PM teams.

Travel up to 30% and a hybrid work model apply. Remote workers must visit the Cleveland HQ weekly; candidates should reside within 2–3 hours of Cleveland or relocate to the area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years in energy engineering.
• Experience in HVAC, BAS, renewables, or central plant design.
• Strong energy audits, utility analysis, and savings calculations.
• Ability to lead projects and communicate to diverse audiences.
• Willing to relocate to Cleveland/Columbus area or reside nearby.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of energy projects for large facilities.
• Conduct energy audits and analyze utility data.
• Prepare energy savings calculations and financial analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across sales, engineering, estimating, and PM.
• Present findings to clients and stakeholders; mentor junior staff.
• Stay current on tech, regs, and best practices; support HVAC and BAS initiatives.
