Job summary

CLEAResult is seeking a senior engineer based in Michigan to guide and mentor junior engineers and lead complex technical work in energy-efficiency programs. You will become a subject-matter expert in one or more engineering technologies and provide training to cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes safety, collaboration with industry partners, and engagement with professional organizations. A strong engineering degree and applicable licensure are required or preferred per location.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering degree or graduate degree; combined experience considered.
• PE(US) preferred.
• P.Eng (Canada) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Become a recognized subject matter expert in at least one engineering technology.
• Provide technical guidance and training to both technical and non-technical team members related to technologies & calculations.
• Participate in industry organizations (present papers at conferences, member of a committee).
• Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners.
• Develop awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Prioritize safety in all actions and tasks.
• Contribute to Engineering & Company-wide Safety Committees.
• Lead important and complex technical work in our programs, independently and with minimal technical supervision.

• - Lead important and complex technical work in our programs, independently and with minimal technical supervision. Examples include:
• Identify, lead, and qualify custom/M&V projects (including evaluator interaction)
• Lead development of calculation tools
• Perform ASHRAE level II audits unassisted at large commercial and industrial facilities
• Review energy simulation files for compliance with energy codes and program requirements
• Author IPMVP compliant plans and reports
• Provide QA/QC of engineering work products
• Develop workpapers for new EE measures or approaches for delivery to clients/evaluators

DOT Requirements
