Job summary

CLEAResult in Michigan seeks a senior engineer to guide teams, serve as a subject matter expert, and lead complex technical work with a strong emphasis on safety and industry collaboration.

Requirements include 5–10+ years of experience, a BS in Engineering ( graduate degree preferred), and US PE license is preferred; P.Eng in Canada is also recognized. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Successful candidates are residents of Michigan.
• 5-10+ years’ experience; BS Engineering degree or graduate degree; PE (US) preferred; P.Eng (Canada) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Become a recognized subject matter expert in at least one engineering technology.
• Provide technical guidance and training to both technical and non-technical team members related to technologies and calculations.
• Participate in industry organizations (present papers at conferences, committee member).
• Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners.
• Develop awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Prioritize safety in all actions and tasks.
• Contribute to Engineering & Company-wide Safety Committees.
• Lead important and complex technical work independently (e.g., custom/M&V projects, calculation tools).
• Lead development of calculation tools and review energy simulation files for compliance.

• Contribute to Engineering & Company-wide Safety Committees
• Lead important and complex technical work in our programs, independently and with minimal technical supervision. Examples include:
  • Identify, lead, and qualify custom/M&V projects (including evaluator interaction)
  • Lead development of calculation tools
  • Perform ASHRAE level II audits unassisted at large commercial and industrial facilities
  • Review energy simulation files for compliance with energy codes and program requirements
  • Author IPMVP compliant plans and reports
  • Provide QA/QC of engineering work products
  • Develop workpapers for new EE measures or approaches for delivery to clients/evaluators
