Job description

DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer for our emerging commercial and industrial energy efficiency incentive program portfolio in the Philadelphia region. This role requires a motivated professional with technical expertise and excellent customer service skills.

This role is based at our DNV office in Chalfont, PA, with a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees typically work three (3) days per week from the office or client location. Further details will be shared during the interview process.

What You'll Do

• Participate as part of the Leadership Team, representing the technical aspects of the program.


• Mentor junior engineers and guide them in conducting energy and demand assessments of buildings and processes.


• Engage with facility engineers and building managers to promote energy efficiency upgrades.


• Perform customer-focused, site-specific engineering analyses of energy efficiency opportunities involving industrial process equipment, such as pumps, fans, compressed air systems, central plant systems, and advanced HVAC equipment.


• Review and verify the technical merits of business customer energy efficiency applications, including energy savings calculations and equipment specifications verification.


• Prepare and review technical specifications and engineering calculations for energy efficiency projects in commercial and industrial settings.


• Coordinate with team members and clients to develop strategies that influence the market and increase program participation.


• Conduct site inspections to verify the installation of energy-efficient equipment and address customer questions or concerns.


• Deliver presentations at meetings and training events for trade allies, customers, and other stakeholders.


• Perform on-site energy assessments and analyze the energy performance of commercial buildings to identify cost-effective upgrades.


• Serve as the technical liaison to the client and program evaluators.
