Job summary

LA28 is seeking a Senior Associate, Energy Design Engineering to support the Energy Design Engineering Team within the Venue Infrastructure group. The role focuses on end-to-end power delivery for Games venues, including temporary electrical overlays and HV/MV/LV design reviews.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, drive energy efficiency initiatives, and ensure timely approvals with IOC/IPC. Based in the LA28 Los Angeles office with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 3 years of experience in electrical infrastructure design/assessment.
• Experience with electrical design development and energy solutions integration.
• Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical studies to determine load requirements.
• Perform energy capacity analysis and identify gaps in service supply.
• Assess energy-related risks to venue power supply and propose mitigations.
• Recommend solutions for loading, reliability, and resiliency.
• Track design revisions and evaluate impacts on HV/MV/LV infrastructure.
• Coordinate with internal/external partners to ensure a coordinated process.
• Support approval and review processes for Energy design requirements.
• Align with cross-functional teams to meet planning timelines and objectives.
• Collaborate with IOC/IPC to understand energy needs and expedite approvals.
• Work with Energy Program Management for delivery milestones.
