Job summary

Veregy, a leading decarbonization company, is seeking a Senior Project Developer to manage energy efficiency projects from audits through construction. Based in Oakland, CA with travel, you will support sales, coordinate with engineering teams, and ensure projects meet budgets and timelines while complying with laws and specs.

You will lead energy engineering tasks, perform energy modeling, and present feasibility analyses to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Requires 3 years of experience in project development.
• 2 years of Energy Engineering experience is desired.
• 1 year of experience in AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, Procore, MS Project, and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs energy audits, energy modeling, measurement, verification, or retro-commissioning studies.
• Provides guidance and leadership to junior staff supporting Senior Project Developer projects.
• Supports sales to ensure that projects are developed on a predictable schedule.
• Collaborates with other engineering functions to identify and recommend energy savings strategies to achieve more energy-efficient operation.
• Leads energy-related design or construction issues, such as energy engineering, energy management, or sustainable design.
• Analyzes, interprets, or creates graphical representations of energy data, using engineering software.
• Attends relevant internal and external technical meetings and design reviews.
• Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
