Job summary

INSPYR Solutions in the Arlington area of Texas is seeking a seasoned Controller in the energy sector to lead core accounting functions and mentor a high-performing team. This hands-on leader will actively engage in day-to-day accounting operations while guiding the organization toward stability and growth.

The role requires strong revenue accounting, cost allocation expertise, and experience with ERP-driven environments, with a CPA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience within the energy or natural resources sector.
• Experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller preferred.
• Strong experience in ERP-driven accounting environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing accounting staff.
• CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee core accounting functions including revenue, accounts payable, and partner-related billing activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
• Provide hands-on leadership, including coaching, mentoring, and developing accounting staff.
• Remain actively involved in daily accounting operations; not a purely oversight role.
• Drive continuous improvement across accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and finance leadership teams.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Support financial reporting and operational decision-making.
