Oracle seeks a senior Energy Contract Specialist in Nashville to support commercial execution of energy agreements enabling data center power readiness and growth across North America. You will coordinate with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Development, and Operations to structure, review, and track energy contracts from strategy through execution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in energy contracting, utility procurement, project development, or related fields.
• Experience supporting complex energy agreements such as PPAs, interconnection, and transmission contracts.
• Working knowledge of electric utility processes, tariffs, and energy project lifecycles.
• Ability to partner with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Engineering, and Operations across teams.
• Strong contract analysis, business writing, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, track risks and drive decisions under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own energy contracting workstreams from intake to execution, ensuring alignment with scope and governance.
• Structure, review, negotiate, and administer utility service, PPAs, interconnections, and related contracts.
• Identify risks across commercial, operational, financial, and technical areas with key stakeholders.
• Maintain trackers, obligation registers, decision logs, milestones, and risk summaries for visibility.
• Translate complex terms and tariff structures into clear guidance for leadership and project teams.
• Coordinate with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and partners to support contract development and execution.
• Assist gas scheduling coordination for fuel supply, nominations, delivery windows, and balance obligations.
• Monitor market dynamics, regulatory changes, and risks impacting energy availability and timelines.
• Support engagement for large-load requests, bridging power, and on-site generation agreements.
• Ensure contractual assumptions align with development plans, schedules, and commissioning milestones.
• Develop repeatable contracting processes, templates, and governance to speed approvals.
• Prepare executive summaries highlighting risks, decisions, and budget exposure.
• Identify obligations requiring handoff to operations and ongoing reporting needs.
• Drive cross-functional issue resolution when terms, schedules, or regulatory constraints conflict.
• Support post-execution governance for renewals, amendments, and notices.
• Contribute to scalable standards for documentation, workflows, and dashboards.
• Capture lessons learned to improve future contracting playbooks and readiness.
