Job summary

X-Bow Systems in Luling, Texas is seeking a Sr. Chemist - Energetics to lead development and optimization of solid rocket propellant formulations, perform hazards analysis, and ensure QA of intermediates.

You will guide a growing team and collaborate with government and commercial customers to advance energetic materials with rigorous science. You will drive test planning, readiness reviews, and coordination of multi-range campaigns while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and successful

Qualifications

Advanced degree in Chemistry (MS/PhD).
10+ years of experience in energetics.
Strong knowledge of propellant chemistry and energetics.
Excellent written and verbal communication, and technical writing.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS 9100 a plus.

Responsibilities

Technical lead for propellant applications across diverse flight programs.
Mentor junior chemists in a fast-paced lab while meeting budgets and schedules.
Demonstrate analytical chemistry expertise and energetic materials know-how.
Develop test plans, readiness reviews, and coordinate test campaigns.
Participate in technical reviews with management to design science-based solutions.
Support plant and materials scale-up, equipment, and tooling considerations.
Ensure safety and regulatory compliance per OSHA, DoD, and DoT standards.
