Job summary

Athena Technology Group, Inc. in the United States, is seeking a Senior Endpoint Scanning Administrator to join our cybersecurity team.

You will support DISA Cybersecurity by performing compliance monitoring, response, mitigation, automation, and configuration management across DoD environments. This role requires 5+ years with endpoint tools and cybersecurity, 3+ years with Microsoft products, and a US citizenship; you will collaborate with teams nationwide to implement high‑level program

Qualifications

• Current 8570/8140 Certificate with Network Environment focus and ESS certifications.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Experience working with teams in multiple locations across the United States.
• Experience working with IT teams in various capacities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain DISA approved security scanners for scans and groups.
• Ensure scans, accounts, and configurations follow DISA policies.
• Communicate and resolve scan failures with stakeholders.
• Test, evaluate, and deploy endpoint scanning tools.
• Analyze requirements to create and improve scan reports.
• Monitor performance issues and facilitate resolution.
• Create and review security scan reports with stakeholders.
• Participate in audits and provide documentation.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Endpoint Scanning Administrator, to join our team. In this role, you will provide Cybersecurity management support for the DISA Cybersecurity Division by supporting compliance monitoring/reporting, response and mitigation, automation and management services, compliance validation, configuration, change management and account management. This person will work as part of a disperse team requiring coordination, teamwork and must provide a proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and maintain DISA approved security scanners to plan, create, manage, and retire schedule for ad hoc scans and scan groups for new and existing workloads across isolated environments, NIPRNet and SIPRNet IAW all active DoD and DISA policies and procedures.

Maintain and ensure scans, accounts, and configurations are set IAW best practice guides and DISA privileged access policies and procedures.

Communicate, resolve, revalidate, and prevent scan failures with all stakeholders IAW DISA policies and procedures.

Test, evaluate, and deploy endpoint scanning tools and configurations to DISA and other applicable endpoints.

Analyze mission requirements and organizational feedback to create, configure, maintain, and improve scan reports.

Monitor, identify, and facilitate the resolution of performance impacting issues.

Create and/or review security scan reports with stakeholders.

Participate in audits and provide documentation.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree or higher

5+ years of professional experience with endpoint tools and cybersecurity

3+ Years experience with Microsoft Products

Current 8570/8140 Certificate with Network Environment focus and ESS certifications

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Must be a US citizen

Experience working with teams in multiple locations across the United States.

Experience working with IT teams in various capacities.
