Job summary

TalentCompass is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join its Technology and Innovation group in the Greater Phoenix area. This hands-on role owns platforms, endpoints, identity systems, and security controls that support the business daily.

You will manage SaaS apps (Monday.com, Jira, HubSpot), Intune/M365/Entra, Jamf, and drive the transition from VDI to physical laptops while ensuring SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit readiness and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in system administration or IT operations.
• Hands-on administration experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365/Entra, including conditional access and identity governance.
• Experience with Jamf for macOS and iPad management.
• Demonstrated experience administering SaaS business platforms such as Monday.com, Jira, HubSpot, or comparable tools, including permissions models, integrations, and license governance.
• Working knowledge of OneDrive and SharePoint administration, including sharing and retention policy enforcement.
• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell or Python to automate routine administrative work, reporting, and evidence collection.
• Experience supporting SOC 1 or SOC 2 evidence collection and control operation; familiarity with Vanta is a plus.
• Practical security monitoring experience with thoughtful triage of alerts.
• Experience supporting a VDI-to-physical-endpoint migration is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer the firm’s core business platforms (Monday.com, Jira, HubSpot) with user provisioning, permissions, and license management.
• Manage Claude access, seats, group membership, usage limits, and budget monitoring.
• Own Intune administration for Windows fleet and Jamf for Macs/iPads, including enrollment and patching.
• Build and operate the trusted laptop program, including enrollment, encryption, and lifecycle management.
• Support the transition from VDI to physical laptops (imaging, migrations, onboarding).
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Entra identity, including SSO, conditional access, license assignment, and onboarding/offboarding.
• Administer OneDrive and SharePoint governance, storage policies, retention, and external sharing controls.
• Automate repetitive admin processes using PowerShell or Python for onboarding, offboarding, reporting, and evidence collection.
• Monitor security alerts across M365 Defender, Intune, and endpoints, triaging and elevating as needed.
• Execute ISMS automation work in Vanta and collect evidence for SOC 1/2 including access reviews and patch records.
• Identify control gaps and access drift before audit findings.
• Collaborate across the organization for internal service, execution, and continuous improvement.
• Solve complex tech problems with creativity, rigor, and measurable impact.
