Job summary

Vannevar, an AI-focused engineering team, is seeking an IT Endpoint Engineer to own the health and evolution of our corporate endpoint environment across macOS, Windows, and iOS. You’ll automate patching, configuration management, and vulnerability remediation, ensuring security controls meet CIS Benchmarks and NIST 800-171 requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in endpoint engineering or similar tech roles.
• Strong macOS and Windows administration, scripting, and troubleshooting in a distributed environment.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise MDM platforms such as Microsoft Intune.
• Experience managing enterprise patching and vulnerability remediation within remediation timelines.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Ability to autonomously investigate complex technical problems using logs and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Own the management and development of our endpoint environment across macOS, Windows, and iOS.
• Translate security and compliance requirements into practical endpoint controls and deployment plans.
• Own endpoint patching and vulnerability management, ensuring remediations within SLAs.
• Develop scripts, automation, and tooling to deploy configurations and remediate issues.
• Build recurring health checks and monitoring to identify drift and gaps in management.
• Own technical projects from planning through testing and deployment, considering dependencies and risks.
• Lead root-cause analysis and drive improvements to tooling and architecture.
• Stay close to user-facing IT issues to reflect problems across the company.
