Electronic Arts is seeking an experienced Senior Encounter Designer to help craft memorable combat encounters for a Star Wars title. The 12-month contract role is onsite with hybrid options in California, focusing on implementing encounters in UE5 and collaborating closely with design, animation, code, and art teams.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in games, strong scripting or programming skills, and a passion for building fun experiences within modern engine tools such as Unreal and Unity.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of experience in the games industry as Scripter, Encounter/Level/Mission Designer and shipping at least one title.
• Experience with text-based scripting, visual scripting, and/or programming languages.
• Strong understanding of game engine tools and pipelines such as UE4/5, Unity, Maya.
• Collaborative team player with a passion for crafting fun gameplay encounters.

• Work with Design, Animation, Code and Art to bring the Star Wars adventure to life.
• Create memorable Combat Encounters and own their technical implementation in UE5.
• Leverage AI to create moments that are greater than the sum of parts.
• Troubleshoot complex logic issues and design effective solutions.
• Be an expert on encounter/AI systems and mentor teammates.
• Direct impact on player experience through gameplay encounters.
